1. Sanchay and these terms
Sanchay is provided by Idrish Khan. These terms describe use of the Sanchay mobile app and this website. Questions can be sent to idrish011@gmail.com.
Sanchay is a personal financial record-keeping tool. It records information you enter or confirm; it does not hold funds, connect to a bank for account access, execute payments, or provide a banking service. The website provides product information, legal information, support, and release availability.
2. App license and platform terms
Subject to applicable law and the terms governing your download, you may use Sanchay for your personal financial record keeping on compatible devices you are entitled to use. You retain rights in the financial information you enter. This does not transfer ownership of the application, brand, or website.
Apple’s applicable standard End User License Agreement or a valid custom EULA selected for the listing governs the iOS app license. Google Play terms also apply to downloads and purchases through that store. These website terms do not replace mandatory store terms or establish that every store requirement has been satisfied. Open-source components retain their respective licenses and notices.
3. Your records and responsibilities
Enter only information you are entitled to use. Check transactions, account types, categories, opening balances, currency, receipt suggestions, imported text, and summaries for accuracy. Your records are based on what you enter and may differ from statements or amounts held by a financial institution.
Use a trusted, current device and protect its access credentials. The current app does not automatically reconcile with banks or convert currencies. The local account portfolio uses one currency. Do not rely on the app as your only record of a legal, tax, accounting, or payment obligation.
4. Free, Pro, purchases, and restoration
The Free plan provides core financial record keeping and may display app ads. Sanchay Pro is implemented as a one-time non-consumable purchase that removes app banners and interstitial ads. It is not an AI-only upgrade. Both plans depend on compatible hardware and available system services for optional AI.
The relevant app store supplies the actual price, currency, taxes, and available purchase terms before you authorize a purchase. There is no checkout on this website. Availability is shown on the download page. No launch date or regional price is promised here.
Use the same store account for purchase restoration. On iOS the current path is Settings → Remove ads → Restore purchase. Store availability, authentication, pending approvals, connectivity, refunds, and revocations can affect entitlement checks. Cached Pro status may remain while offline until the store updates. Android restoration requires final release validation. Cross-store purchase transfer is not promised.
Billing, cancellation where applicable, and refund requests follow the relevant store process and applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or creates a blanket no-refunds rule. Pro removes app ads; it does not remove all technical SDK or purchase-service communication.
5. Local storage, backup, and recovery
Sanchay stores financial records locally and has no hosted account or first-party cloud sync. Create a password-encrypted backup before changing devices, removing the app, or replacing a dataset. Keep your backup password separately and check that you can locate the correct backup file.
A restore replaces current local records after your confirmation. Keep a separate backup of records you wish to preserve. The operator cannot retrieve your local database or recover a forgotten backup password. A storage destination you select may have separate charges, availability, retention, and privacy practices. These responsibilities do not waive rights you have under applicable law.
6. AI and receipt-recognition limitations
OCR and AI outputs are suggestions and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Review every receipt or message draft before saving. On-device Insights is intended to help you reflect on recorded spending; it is not professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Numeric financial questions are restricted by the current AI implementation.
AI depends on supported device hardware, operating-system version, model readiness, language, region, and system settings. Availability may change independently of Sanchay. The app has no cloud-model fallback. Core ledger features remain usable without AI.
7. Acceptable use and intellectual property
Use the app and website lawfully. Do not interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious content, infringe others’ rights, or misuse advertising or purchase systems. Do not remove required intellectual-property or open-source notices.
The Sanchay name, supplied brand assets, application code, and website content remain with their respective rights holders. Restrictions on copying, modification, distribution, or reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law and relevant licenses; rights expressly granted by open-source licenses or mandatory law remain intact.
8. Availability, changes, and consumer rights
The current code targets iOS / iPadOS 15.5 or later and Android 8.0 or later, with additional requirements for AI. Coming soon for iPhone, iPad & Android. Screenshots show the real app using fictional demo records. The download page identifies verified listing availability.
Software updates and third-party services can change features or requirements. The operator may update the app, website, or terms, with notice and remedies where required by law. The updated terms will show a new date.
No promise is made of uninterrupted operation, perfect OCR or AI output, financial outcomes, or compatibility with every device. Any limitations apply only as far as the law permits. Mandatory warranties, remedies, refund rights, and other consumer protections are preserved. These terms do not select a governing law or impose a jurisdiction.
